How to use the Pimple Patch

What causes pimples?

No matter how old you are, a pimple can form at any age. A pimple or impurity is often the result of excessive sebum production in the body. At some point, too much sebum is produced and the sebaceous gland becomes blocked. This results in a blackhead or whitehead. When bacteria come into contact with the blackhead or whitehead, they can multiply very quickly. This infects the sebaceous gland and forms a pimple.

Film formers are used to create an ultra-thin, invisible patch. The Pimple Patch with LiquiPatch© technology contains AHAs, BHAs and anti-pimple plant extracts.

AHAs (alpha hydroxy acids such as fruit acids) break the connections between the skin cells' outer layer and next layer. At that point, the skin releases the dead skin cells, creating a peeling effect for dead cells and oils. This reduces the amount of clogged pores, and the skin glows and feels softer again.

BHAs (beta hydroxy acid/salicylic acid) penetrate deep into the pores and dissolve any excess sebum. This makes the skin less oily, which also has a positive effect on the condition of the pores.

The anti-pimple plant extracts come from Black Cumin, Chaulmoogra, Magnolia and Manuka. These ingredients have clinically proven anti-pimple effects:

  • Reduction of sebum production
  • Reduction of blackheads
  • Reduction of pimples

How to use the Pimple Patch

  1. Apply gel to clean, dry skin in the evening before bedtime.
  2. If you want to use a moisturiser, try to avoid applying it to the skin around the pimple and wait at least 10 to 15 minutes before applying Remescar Pimple Patch. This will give the skin enough time to absorb the moisturiser.
  3. The gel will form an invisible patch after a few minutes.

When you wake up in the morning, rinse off the patch with clean water and the pimple will be virtually invisible. It’s as simple as that!
